Various elements present Dehong to the world in Yunnan's promotional event

  On the afternoon of February 20, 2017, “An Open China: Amazing Yunnan, Sharing Its Best with the World”, an promotional event aiming at presenting Yunnan to the world is held in the Blue Hall of Foreign Ministry. Yunnan attracts worldwide attention at the activity co-held by Foreign Ministry and Yunnan Provincial Government. Foreign minister, Wang Yi, attends the meeting and speaks on the behalf of Yunnan. Chen Hao, Secretary of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, Ruan Chengfa , governor of Yunnan Province sincerely recommend Yunnan to the world, demonstrating the unique charm and image of Yunnan in an all-around way.

  At the meeting, the beautiful natural landscape, unique culture, long history, colorful ethnic features and abundant local products get globally promoted through the platform of Foreign Ministry. More than 50 local products of Yunnan including flowers, tea, coffee, fruits, and vegetables appear on the meeting.

  Dehong images appear on the advertising video for 8 minutes

  An elaborate advertising video by Yunnan Televison Station is displayed at the activity. On the video appear several Dehong-featured images including Menghuan Golden Pagoda, Hogood Coffee, Yinjing (also known as "The Stockaded Village in Two Countries") , Baic Ruili Co., Ltd and Ruili Experimental Zone, presenting the charm and development of Dehong to the world.

  In his speech, Wangyi remarks, “A large amount of coffee raw material in Yunnan is exported to other countries, providing material for Nestle Corporation and Starbuck Corporation. The coffee I have tasted just now is known as Hogood Coffee. It is no exaggeration to say that it tastes best among the various brands of coffee I have tasted around the world. ”

  Though originated from Europe, coffee plantation in Yunnan enjoys a history of over 100 years. Currently, more than 1000 old coffee trees stay alive in Yunnan. With more than 126,730 hectares of coffee distributed in Dehong, Baoshan, Lincang, Pu’er and etc, Yunnan has become the largest raw material base of fine quality coffee. According to the introduction of the staff by Hogood CoffeeCo., Ltd, the coffee offered at the event are made from baked beans which are produced in area with high attitude. The coffee features nutty flavor, acidity and lasting aftertaste.
